PRESENTATIONS ON 10/16 & 23
FEEDBACK COMMENTS by 10/30
Starting next week, we will receive some feedback from our peers and instructors to help flesh out your art intervention idea. This will help you make some significant decisions about the project, including how to start and figure out the actual logistics to complete it and document it by December 4.
In order to receive some constructive feedback, we will make a slideshow to present your proposal and ideas.
1. Gather all your writing and references from your previous posts.
2. Prepare a 3-minute PowerPoint presentation of your proposal & progress (Show & Tell) with:
- Slide 1- Using screenshot (s) of your article and other related images, tell us the rundown of your chosen topic
- Slide 2- Using your sketch and select a few words/lines from the email/pitch post to briefly articulate your project
- Slide 3- Using images of other artists' work who had similar interests/ideas, tell us how you intend to change the status quo. Find some inspiration here. <https://art21.org/explore/>
- Slide 4- Using a photo of where your project would be manifested/activated, tell us how you chose a place that is perfect for your intervention to have an even deeper meaning, best audience, and/or logistical sense.
- Slide 5- Using digital collage, place your sketch (slide 2) in your proposed site (slide 4). This will be your latest sketch.
3. Title your post "Mid-Review Presentation / [Title of your art intervention] / [Your name]."
- Include your "digital collage from slide 5" and a link to your slideshow. Be sure to make your slideshow file public.
- Presentations must be only 3 MINUTES - practice your presentation so you can present clearly and quickly.
4. Write down any thoughts about your classmates' presentations during class in your notebook. Provide constructive feedback in writing, maybe even with reference links, by commenting under their "Mid-Review Presentation" post.
* 1/2 of our class will present on 10/16 then the other 1/2 will present on 10/23.
