POST 4 - Ingrid Rivera
Consider how your work will be presented to the viewers. In a written response and/or a sketch, address the following questions:
Is it displayed on the wall or on the floor/ground?
My project’s location has changed and it will be in front of my house instead. While I wanted it to be in the community garden, it was brought to my attention that it will be somewhat hidden behind the gates. It will be displayed on top of a wooden round table.
Does it need to be bolted down? Secured?
It won’t be secured but I will be monitoring it as well as my family and with the help of my neighbors.
Will it be lit with a spotlight? Or does it appear discarded?
It will be lit with lights that are battery operated and the battery will be sealed to prevent any water damage.
Does it take a physical shape, or is it ephemeral in nature?
It will take the physical shape of a recipe box. I wanted to simplify my project so it could be done on time.
What is the significance of its form?
The significance of the form, I wanted it to be a recipe box because I have one and I feel as if I don’t see many these days. But also recipe boxes are sentimental and have history.
Does that form change over time?
The form will change over time, for the next year I would like to change the shape with a ceramic pot that I will make if possible.
How long will your project be displayed?
My Project will be displayed until the end of the year and I will keep refilling it if recipes are taken and adding more as the days go on.
