Post 6/ The Art of the Sole / Installation and step by step process

Methods of Installation/Dimensions

        Since there's only a few materials for this art intervention project, which is a shoe box, index cards, and pens, it will be a much simple installation. The Jordan shoe box will be the main material for this project. When people see a shoe box, especially from Nike, everyone will be very curious and see whats inside. Here are the steps on how this project will work along with installation.  

Step by step instructions: 

1. In order to grab the audience attention and curiosity, you'll need to find a place where people visit mostly everyday or come and go. Recommended locations will be the GSUB building, school library, or the visual arts building. 
2. Once you find a location, look for a flat surface when you walk inside the building to place the shoe box. Flat surfaces such as a table, desk, or a chair. 
3. After you find a good spot for the shoe box, take out the index cards and pens and place them to the side or next to the shoe shoe box. 
4. Make sure you have one index card inside the shoe box that has a question that says "What is your favorite shoe? And why?". If you want to show your favorite shoe, place the picture of your shoe inside the shoe box for extra details. (optional)
5. Once everything is set up and ready to go, stand or sit next to the shoe box and wait till someone approaches to you. 
6. When the person approaches you, he or she either might ask you about the shoe box and curious what's inside. Tell him or her to open the shoe box and allow them to see what's inside. 
7. After they open it and see the question on the index card, tell them to grab a index card and a pen and have them write down their favorite shoe. 
8. Finally, when the person is finish writing on the index card, they will place it inside the shoe box and move on. 
9. Repeat step 5 again until you feel like you have enough responses inside the shoe box. If you feel like you have less responses, come back the next day in the same or a different location. 
10. Count how many responses you received inside the shoe box and make sure you write down the correct total.
