Topic: A satirical commentary on humanity's fall and the rise of depravity.
Plot: A fantastical and chaotic world due to the collapse of society. After the collapse, a cruel reality TV show death game is created where contestants fight, kill, and humiliate each other for fame, glory, and riches. We watch our two protagonists partake in this hellish game and the cruel treatment they endure.
Real Life Reflection: The story is based on the worst of humanity over the last 26 years, primarily through the guides of trash television. We as people have watched people dive into madness through our phones, TVs, and computers, all for the sake of money and fame. Although we laugh at these people, there’s a reason why they are doing it, and if pushed, what would the average person do if put in these situations? The majority of people do it for money; they’re facing poverty, and instead of fixing the issues, it is broadcast worldwide to mock the unfortunate. And watching the mockery, like it or not, we have all said, “at least it’s not me.” It’s our escapism to watch people more unfortunate than us endure cruelty. Thinking you’re not a contributor, it’s a lie; we all have talked about shows from “TLC” which, at the end of the day, mock people who are impoverished, or who are morbidly obese, people who are facing addiction. We have all talked about shows like “The Biggest Loser,” which shame and put plus-size people through cruelty and make them lose weight in the fastest, most painful, and humiliating way, which leads to constant damage to their bodies, and at the end of the day, they gain the weight back. There were shows like the “The Swan”, “Butterface”, etc where women are shamed for their natural appearance and are considered ugly, the first two stated shows, the whole premise is about women who are considered “ugly” getting plastic surgery and becoming a “swan.” Both shows have family members say things about the constant's appearance, which producers ended up editing what they said to make it sound cruel. Even shows like “Keeping up with Kardashians” have set unachievable beauty standards for young women and teenagers. Shows like “The Bad Girls Club”, “Baddies West”, “Jersey Shore”, etc, where people go through active addiction, targeting individuals, and generally causing cruelty. They’re not given a hint of respect because they are labeled “trash.” In the past 26 years, humanity has decreased in its empathy and morals. Progressivism was observed during the late 2010s and early 2020s, but has reduced immensely. People feel more justified in their cruelty when the targeted person “deserved it.” And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

How would this comment on our societal tendencies better or differently than "Squid Games"? How can you approach this topic in more intimate way? Without falling into the same traps of provocations from reality shows?
