A series representing diversity in the form of fantasy species. There are various species that are depicted in folklore and mythology like sirens, goblins, fairies, or nymphs. Placing them in what are considered human situations results in an increase of relatability. As fictional species will be used, anyone would be able to look at what the illustrations represent and those who have gone through similar experiences will be able to picture themselves in the places of the characters.
One form of diversity is in regard to different genders and sexual orientations, something I am familiar with due to also being part of the LGBTQ+ community. Some people within the community tend to hide who they are and feel like they are alone, especially when they fear being abused and discriminated against. Being able to find a safe space with like-minded people makes them feel human and comfortable being their true selves without the risk of being retaliated against.
