To the office of Klein and Scannapiego,
Good morning, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Fatima Flores. I am an artist based in Elizabeth, NJ and I would like to put up a couple of art interventions in your waiting room, if possible. If you don’t know what an art intervention is, in simple terms, a way to interact with art. My art intervention is something to look, not touch, and people of all ages can interact with the illusion paintings. I want to display ten painting of illusions of blurry paintings, when patients come close to the painting, it becomes clear and visible, and vise versa. It’d be different items painted on the canvas, with different solid color backgrounds. It’d also be a great way to test to see if any new, incoming patients are near or far sighted.
I understand that your waiting room is not so spacious, and wanting to put up seven medium-sized paintings, is not ideal for a small waiting room. But if possible, we can work out placements for the paintings. With that, I’d like to add two paintings in each wall of the waiting room. Adding my art intervention into your office, can be educational because this art intervention will help your patients’ knowledge of their vision. And with the permission of your managers, I would be glad to work with your office.
Here is a sketch of a possible placement for one area of the waiting room:
I have been to your office since I was 9 years old and I always see the same movie posters hung up in the waiting room, and I want to give a more accurate representation of the most used body part, which is the eyes and the way our vision works with being nearsighted and farsighted. Adding paintings would be beneficial because my art intervention will not only help patients with their knowledge of their vision, but make the waiting room enjoyable and interactive. If you’d like more information on my art intervention, please email me back at this email address or give me a call at (xxx)xxx-xxxx!
With Regards,
Fatima Flores
