Hello Roger and CO, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Kenneth Maldonado age 23. I want to discuss the impact social media has on our youth and even young adults. I grew up in a balanced generation. Kids didn't really have technology like how we have it now. Or it was like leapfrogs. Games that helped develop the child. But now kids have access to everything and at a younger age than what we had. Practically out the womb they have an iPad and 50 Instagram following.
An article from Pew Research shows that any upward trends had previously containing to social media and connections has decreased. This study is from 2022-2024. Going down 8 points to the most seen 12 points. While social media already affects their sleep. While it does have benefits the draw backs can make people feel overwhelmed with drama and conflicts. Cities are suing social media companies like NYC for being addicting and contributing to youths' mental health in a negative way.
I want to make a piece. Were people will break/ tear one image and underneath that object will be another image. And have it be like a cycle. The cycle will represent people getting addicted to social media and getting off of it. It can be a slow process from quitting or even limiting how much they use it. I want one being a lighter color and another one darker. I sent an email before talking about the spirit realm and how to show it in person. If you would like to read it just scroll down.

I wanted to display the human spirit and the body in an exhibit. It won't be an actual body but a model like how the medical students have. I would expand upon it with adding 3D printed materials. The printed materials would be transparent to represent the soul. And how out of your body it can be. I want people to see more than just their physical selves. In this world we see the physical all the time. And the main talk is physical cause that is what we see.
After recent events that happened in the United States many people are turning to the lord. After years of neglect or even just for the first time. We have seen churches burned down or shot at and it's hard to think that it's not spiritual. With the frequency of the attacks and now that's it's coming to light. I think people should know that what they are dealing with is serious and not to be caught off guard when something happens.
Now this is coming from a Christain point of view. So, it's going to have some Christian points. I am not forcing anything on anybody. People come in and see the show and take it how they want to take it. I'm just here to make art and to make a statement. That Spiritual life is real and that lack of knowledge can be detrimental to one's life. Any who that is all. God bless you and have a wonderful day.
