My name is Beshoy Erian, and I'm an artist and student exploring how light and motion can alter or change our perception of time. I'm reaching out to share a concept I'm creating called "Motion Studies: Echoes in Time", its an art intervention that consists of using strobe lights to show the unseen layers of human motion. I'm hoping with your support or guidance I can further expand on this work.
The status quo I'm questioning is how we take our visual continuity for granted. We assume we see motion fluid, but its actually a series of still movements our brain pieces together. Strobes stop that illusion, it exposes how fragile our visual reality actually is. I'm using this to create curiosity about how light affects our perception and attention.
I'm reaching out to you because I'd love to learn more about the process for showcasing my work. I want to have my work exhibition ready and maybe in the future have a discussion about a collaboration.
