My name is Brianna Pacheco. I am a senior at New Jersey City University, currently pursuing a BFA in Illustration. I am reaching out as I am interested in hosting an exhibition at the Macy Art Gallery.
An art intervention is introducing art into an existing situation to increase awareness or change. The project that I am currently working on is an art intervention for education. "Education for All" is a poster-based exhibition to spread awareness to create change that will allow anyone, especially those from disadvantaged communities, to have access to all forms of education, especially college. It is tackling the question of how I can make people feel compelled to partake in changes that will allow everyone to have access to any form of education. Several posters will be printed on 18"x24" glossy paper with framing.
The Macy Art Gallery's mission for the expression of diverse perspectives within education and the arts resonates with the core concept behind "Education for All." Your art gallery's commitment is commendable, and I conclude that the topic of my proposal contains the same values as the intention of the gallery's mission. Below, I have attached a couple of posters of my "Education for All" exhibition.
